Emily Kekewich

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Yorkville Master's Degree Intern

Supervised by Ayesha Ghouri CRPO #009254

Emily Kekewich is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) currently completing her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. Prior to pursuing psychotherapy, Emily worked as a Registered Nurse, an experience that deeply informs her therapeutic work and provides her with a broad, compassionate understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and the mind–body connection.

Emily supports adults aged 18 and older who are navigating a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, loss and grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, self-esteem difficulties, and life transitions. She also works with clients who are seeking personal growth, increased resilience, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Emily offers a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can feel heard, respected, and supported. Drawing on skills developed through her nursing background—such as attunement, empathy, and holistic care—she takes a client-centred and strengths-based approach to therapy. Emily integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.

She believes therapy is a space not only for healing, but also for growth, self-reflection, and building meaningful, sustainable change. Emily works alongside clients to enhance emotional awareness, develop effective coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and foster greater self-compassion and resilience.

Emily is available for both in-person and virtual therapy sessions and provides care to residents of Ontario.
